Clincal

Hey, I'm a nursing student and I was convicted of a DUI four years ago. We don't go to clinical until next year but I went ahead and allow them to run my background check and my DUI came up. The school told me that it wasn't the school but the clinical site that didn't allow me to go clinical. So I research and got into contact with the clinical site. They told me they didn't deny me that they allow students to have one DUI. Now the school is mad cause they feel as I went over their head. The dean told me to find my own clinical site so I told them that what I was doing. But come to find out its just the school lying about everything. I have contact other facility and they said it shouldn't stop me from going to clinical their either. I just don't know what to do at this point cause they keep trying to tell me that the clinical site is not accepting me but actually its the school. But they told me when I first started it shouldn't be an issue. I just don't know what to do at this point. Can someone please give me some advice.
