clerical work in a doctor's office

Published

Hello all,

I am strongly considering a job in a Doctor's office to do Clerical duties I have no medical experience but the employer is willing to hire me that way. What does a job likes this normally entail? What will I be required to do and learn? Will somebody with basic clerical experience and no medical background be able to fulfill the requirements of this position? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1) stop by a couple of nearby doc offices. in each one:

2) tell the receptionist what you are interested in knowing more about

3) offer to take a clerk or two (or medical assistant) to lunch

4) ask them your questions

5) stop by local temp agencies that handle clerical placements and ask them what you want to know
