Clayton State University Spring 2016

Published

Greetings Ga Nurses! I am applying for Clayton State's BSN Program Spring 2016 session. It would be great to meet others on this similar journey, and hopefully we can support each other on the way. Looking forward to the challenge of Nursing School!

Congrats abbskat and ja_royal have you gotten a call for an interview yet?

New to the forum, hello everyone. I just had my interview yesterday and I was told also that all interviews will be finished by he 11th because they are trying to meet next week, decide, and send out acceptance and rejection letters by Thanksgiving. Also congrats to everyone!!!!

So at this point you can still be denied? How did your interview go?

Did you have to sign something and who was your interview with if you don't mind me asking?

Did they say rejection, or wait list? I was told it was 70 interviews and 55-60 spots. I also was told that the last interviews would be given tomorrow, and class mate told me letters will go out next week for the final decision. My interview was last week.

Hey @kay8402, just got finished with my interview, it went well.

@eyedreamingofnursing did your friend say what determined if you got wait listed? I'm curious if they take into consideration of how many classes you have left? I also wonder if they have looked at the Kaplan scores yet. I had one person say that she didn't get an interview because of her Kaplan score.

@ja_royal who was your interview with? How long was it? Did you sign a piece of paper?

@kay8402 my interview was with christal merchant, it was about 15 minutes and yes I signed a paper.

Hey! She got waited last year, but her Kaplan score was like a 70. They've already determined the scores, and people with low scores have been probably denied by now. It seems like 70 and above is the aim. I scored a 79. So we shall see. From my understanding you either get a confirmed seat, or waitlisted. I'm curious as to how much weight the interview holds. My interview was impressed that I made an "A" in patho.

So what does your friend think is the reason that she got waitlisted? Was it her gpa? Did she have other classes to take? Good job on getting an A in patho!!!

Ja_royal that was quick. Did she ask you a lot of questions?

I heard that the M/S gpa and the amount of times you had to take a course holds more weight than anything. I was told that by previous students but we will see.
