Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello All,

I am applying for Clayton States Nursing Program for Spring 2018. I just took the Kaplan on the 6th and wanted to see who else is applying with me this semester! I made a 76 on the Kaplan and I have a 3.52 GPA. For anyone else who wants to join this forum on our journey to Nursing School this semester you're more than welcomed !!! Add your stats too !

Chelsea, when I ordered I received a link that let me access the ebook on their website.

Thanks, I got it. Has anyone applied for the insurance waiver? I just applied and still waiting

How did you apply to the program? I can't find a link to sign up for the KNAT nor the nursing program application. The deadline is coming soon!

For the Med Math, are we supposed to complete the self test or the proficiency test?

I applied for the insurance waiver and at the end it told me I was approved on the same web page. Also check your email.

For the med math, I think they are grading the profiency tests. I think the self tests are supposed to be for your own practice

Same to me, it was said that the waiver was approved. But I am still charged of the insurance so I think it will take about 3 days to process.

Also, on the day we take dosage calculation test, are we allowed to use 4 functions calculator?

I am interested in enrolling at clayton state dual program, My question is about the Kaplan... Do you only take reading and math or are all sections counted?

@ DRJN04 here is the link listing the test dates and score requirements KNAT - BSN - School of Nursing - Clayton State University

It also has the sections that are required

Hi guys,

I will be applying for the Nursing Program at Clayton State soon. I am currently a high school Biology teacher who will be transitioning into her dream career of nursing, and I could use all of the advice that I can get. One of my biggest concerns is how I will afford nursing school and my cost of living while having to be a full-time student. I also recently just purchased my first home :)) but I know that that means I have big responsibilities. I am very financially responsible, therefore I am trying to make wise decisions as I embark on this journey. I have no student loans for my bachelor's degree in Biology, but I know I will need them in nursing school to assist with finances. What are your opinions of my story and advice for nursing school with a mortgage and other finances. I also want to open the opportunity for other nursing students or students working towards entering the program to possibly look into a roommate type living arrangement in my new home to help out on all ends. I currently have a three bedroom home that was just built this year (in Clayton County) and would love some roomies with the same career goals as me! Let me know if anyone is interested and your advice about my career transition.

hello @Psalm465 congrats on your transition to become a nurse. I don't think i am fit to give advise but i say if your mind is made up then go for it. it would be a lot of work though but i think you can do it, you got a degree in biology you can definitely become a nurse. i too have a biology degree (not the education track) and i just got into the program for fall.

p.s. if you are still looking for roommates, i am looking for a place to stay while i'm in the program. i looking to move closer to school

Congrats! Thanks for that encouragement. My degree in Biology was just a general Biology degree (no education). However, teaching was the first opportunity to present itself after graduating, so I went for it! It's been an interesting journey, but healthcare is my passion.

I am still looking for roommates, and we can talk more about it privately if you would like to. :)

Thanks again!
