Class 170 Frontier University MSN

Hello!

I recently applied to Frontiers MSN + DNP Companion PMHNP Track for the 170 class. I don't have high hopes of getting in because my GPA isn't the best, and I don't have any mental health experience. My references are good and I really worked on my essays.

Has anyone else applied for class 170 for the Spring 2018 MSN start?

I've just been accepted to class 170 for he midwifery program. Frontier bound is Feb 19th. Not the bound I applied for so I'm scrambling to get everything done in time!

I chose FNU first of all because they had the online format for the MSN/DNP PMHNP Program. I felt the tuition was very low, compared to other programs. I love that the school was pioneered by Mary Breckinridge, who started the first midwifery services in the US in 1939. Additionally, FNU is among the top 100 schools, according to US News & World Reports, as the Best Nursing School for Masters and DNP programs and the programs exam boards pass rates are very high, as well.

My frontier bound for the MSN PMHNP dates are February 26-28. I'm driving from NC. Hope the weather is good. It snow a great deal in in KY. Anyone else going to bound on these dates? I'm looking into renting a nearby home for $89 night (2 BR) versus paying $565. Anyone interested in sharing?

Congrats Pacrat331. I'll be seeing you at bound! I got accepted to the same class :-)

what was your gpa if you dopn't mind me askgin

I am going to apply to MSN PMHNP Program at FNU for 2018 fall.

I have previous education from my country that is evaluated more than Bachelor, so they said I can apply directly to MSN. My GPA from ADN program here in the USA is 3.89 and I am working as in mental health for almost two years.

Is there anyone who is on way of applying, too? I will be glad to chat and exchange thoughts regarding the admission, tuition, and everything related to it.

I also would like to hear from RNs who is in the program or just was admitted. What are your recommendations or advice? Please, help. :)

Hello everyone! I am thinking to apply to Frontier PMHNP program that starts in the Fall 2018. I am looking for some advice from those of you who were accepted, as well as those who were not. Currently, my nursing experience includes 1.5 years in ICU. No

prior psych experience. BSN GPA was 4.0. ADN GPA was 3.4.

What are my chances of getting in, based on info from those of you who got in?

I realize having no psych experience does not play well for my case, but I really think the current ICU experience is

more valuable to me, since I've only been an RN for less than 2 years.

Thanks for any advice.
