Class: Did you have to use crutches...?

Hi,

Has your school trained you to train patients in proper use of crutches and walkers by using them yourself? I saw a school do this while tying off a limb designated as the weak or broken one as part of their training. I wondered if everyone does this.

That's how I was taught 40 years ago.   May be part of some schools nurse simulation lab check offs.

Inpatient facilities often have Physical Therapist provide this training.  As Camp nurse, just me selecting and teaching campers!
