The City and County of Denver is seeking a Leave of Absence Manager for the Office of Human Resources (OHR).

The Leave of Absence (LOA) Manager will supervise a small team, and will be responsible for all aspects of LOA citywide.

We are seeking a leader who will elevate service, cultivate leadership and maintain a healthy workplace culture by leveraging individual strengths and influencing greater citywide collaboration. We are seeking personal credibility, strategic contribution and "best practice" HR delivery.

Leave of Absence & ADA Specialist:

Develops and maintains leave management policies and procedures, while ensuring compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Serves as a technical expert in leave management; works with clients, human resources professionals, and risk and safety professionals to perform case management activities and resolve complex issues with leave cases. Provides consultative and technical guidance to city managers, supervisors, and employees, and handles sensitive and confidential issues, complaints, and inquires. Identify Employee Relations trends and conducts root cause analysis. In addition, provides employee relations case reporting in partnership with the Service Teams. Partners with HR Service Teams to provide guidance and direction regarding employee relations policy modifications or new policy issuances. Develops LOA & ADA learning tools for managers and employees to increase knowledge of all internal processes and practices (i.e. learning sessions). Partners with OHR Benefits and DERP to facilitate the coordination of short and long term disability, social security disability and DERP disability retirement benefits.
