Chocolate works right?
A few of my classmates and I have been selected to mentor some of our other classmates to help them pass our exit HESI exam. It seems that our class is all over the place in what types of questions are missed and the scores are all mixed too. Our benchmark score is 850 and we have a low score of 435 (ish). We have a lot of students in the low 800 range. In my opinion, those students are just missing pieces of the questions they are getting wrong more so than missing because they don't know the content.
Each mentor can customize her/his class based on personal strengths and we can take 8-10 students per class. Some mentors are really great at neuro or cardiac, etc. I am better at test strategy and fundamentals so that's what I want to focus on in my classes.
If you were a struggling student, what would you want out of a class? What would draw you to attend a 2 hour class? The students get 'credit' for attending 4 of these classes in lieu of a 12-hour precepting shift so I want to host a class that will get students excited about signing up and one they will get a lot out of.

I do love me some chocolate (especially dark) but it would be motivation enough for me to have some help passing an area where I was struggling.
