Hi all,

Just wanted to start up another forum for CHLA's Versant New Grad RN Program for the March 2013 cohort. Here's a link to CHLA's page: http://www.chla.org/site/c.ipINKTOAJsG/b.3579535/k.2A87/RN_Residency__Pediatrics_Nurse__RN_Versant.htm

The online app should only be open for a few more days apply now and GOOD LUCK!

@Bailey.C: I havent heard anything on my end yet either... They may still be interviewing? I will definitely let you know if I hear back! :yeah:

I thought that waiting for the first interview call was brutal ... waiting for the 2nd one is way worse! What are u guys reviewing to prepare just in case u are called?

Hi Everyone! I just found this forum but I am still waiting for my call also! I interviewed on Halloween for CV acute and I have been glued to my phone ever since! Please let me know if you get a call :)

@spanglec: I Can give you directions, but I'm afraid they might have moved it. Ask the security guard when you get there, they will know where to send you. But be aware there are a lot of "fire doors" that have to remain closed, however you do have to go thru them, messed with my head a bit. Also in the basement they are doing construction so there is an extra hallway than is on the map. So on exiting the elevator make an immediate right, then another right. Good luck!!!

Thank you houseblew I found it perfectly! :)

PICU :-) you?

Specializes in PICU.

Hello everyone! I am not a new grad resident applicant, but I am in the application process for CHLA and figured I could get some great info in this thread. I am a fairly new nurse (graduated with my BSN in May 2011) and my experience has been in the PICU. I actually applied to the CHLA residency in college but did not get in.. I assume it largely had to do with the fact that I live in Pennsylvania and did not include "will relocate" in my resume. :/ Anyway, now I have a year of PICU experience under my belt and am planning on relocating to CA! I applied to the PICU and 6 West on Monday and got a call back from HR on Tuesday saying that they are interested and are forwarding my info to the nurse managers. I don't want to get too ahead of myself, but I am really excited considering it took me SO LONG to get a job after I graduated. I'm hoping job number two will be easier. So to those of you who have interviewed, what was the interview process like? Behavioral or clinical questions? Anybody interview for the PICU or 6 West?

Thanks for any info and good luck to everyone :)
