Hey all!
So about 2 and a half weeks ago, I had an interview for a new grad RN position in the PICU at Children's National in DC. On paper, I feel that I am a great candidate (3.9 GPA, president of SNA, volunteer work, externship, nannying jobs, committee involvement, etc). Beyond that, I felt the interview went very well and I had a gut feeling I would be receiving an offer. Well, we are going on 3 weeks and I have heard not a thing. I tried contacting HR but they said I need to contact the manager to follow up post interview, so I emailed her. After a few days, I called the unit directly only to find out that the manager is on vacation so they forwarded me to someone else, who was away from her desk so I left a message and have gotten no response from that as well (2 days ago now). My question here is- does anyone have any thoughts regarding this situation and how I should proceed? Is this a case of no news is good news or is this a no but nobody is willing to tell me? I don't want to be naive but I also don't want to give up without a clear answer, especially when this is my dream job.
Thanks in advance for any input!

It sounds like you've done everything right so far! I wouldn't worry - sometimes HR can be slow in making phone calls and getting back to applicants which can be frustrating. At this point, I'm sure you've heard back by now but if not, I'd definitely keep calling them about it. Hope it works out for you!!
