I don't know. I believe the digital interview was for the nurse residency in general. but I would assume they have not contacted everyone that they are going to. It seems like they contact applicants as they go along, but who knows. anyone know anything/anyone who has heard?

Hey guys! I wanted to start a thread for Children's of Atlanta. We can use this as we go through the application process and give each other updates and ask questions!

Has anyone heard anything from their digital interviews? If so how long after did you hear back?

What was the digital interview like? Were the questions situational based?

Has anyone heard anything more, gone on an interview, etc. Just wondering where they are at in the process:down:

The questions were more general for my digital interview. Not every set of questions are the same (from what I've compared with my friends' digital interviews). Mine questions were like: Why nursing? Why peds? Why CHOA? What 3 new grad areas are you interested in and why? What did you like/ learn from your practicum? Etc. Hope this helps!

After polling my friends (some internal candidates), it appears that the departments that are hiring new grads are all at different points in the process. Some applicants are taking the peds test (last part of the process before an official offer is made) already. Some departments are still doing phone and in person interviews I think. I was told that some departments wait longer to see where their needs are, so that's why I believe some are still in the early stages. It sounds like there's still plenty of time, even if you applied super early :-) it's frustrating when you are having classmates getting early offers at all these places, though (in my opinion)! What does your online status say? I know someone who just got an interview after their status said "Under Consideration" for like 6 weeks before they got a call (the whole different departments waiting longer thing).

I received a phone call on Friday, May 2nd to interview in the cardiac ICU! This was my first choice in the area that I want to work in, so I am very excited! I had my interview on Thursday, May 8th and I believe it went very well. I interviewed with the nurse educator on the floor. CHOA then contacted me on Friday, May 9th to say that the nurse educator wanted me to come in and complete a shadowing visit and then I will take my pediatrics HESI. From there, I will be considered if I am hired! I am excited, but nervous- please wish me luck! I hope you all hear back soon!

How long after your digital interview and status change to "under consideration" did it take to hear from the nurse educator?

I didn't really keep track of my application status. I did the digital interview on Thursday, April 24th and then I received a phone call for the face-to-face interview on Friday, May 2nd. I hope this helps!

It is frustrating. I do try to keep in mind that they are working on their own time table and not on ours, as hard as that is. What technically is a week or two seems like a month to us. I realize they do have a lot of applications and resumes to sift through. My status has never changed since I submitted, it still says application received. I'm hoping I'm in a pile in one of those departments that is still in the early stages in the process.:whistling:
