Children's Health Dallas ADN Apprenticeship

Published

Hi everyone! I plan on applying to the ADN apprenticeship at Children's Health in Dallas after graduating in December 2024. I was wondering if anyone has been a part of this program before and can offer some insight on the competitiveness or application process. The website doesn't really explain what I will need to include in my application so I was wondering what they look at when deciding to choose you for an interview.  (Recommendations, GPA, experience, etc.) I can't seem to find any information about this program at all so I am nervous for when the time comes to apply! Any information on your experience would be greatly appreciated <3 :)

How difficult was the interview? Could you give us some tips

Okay so it was 4 people: 2 charges, manager, and nurse educator. They were super chill was a bit intimidating but they liked to joke and have fun it made it go by smoother. They were all sweet and nice. They asked questions about why peds? What I know about the unit & hospital over all so do your research. They like questions so ask lots. Also questions about your previous experience dealing with unhappy clients and unhappy coworkers. Just basically how you communicate work with others.  Good luck ! 🍀

Has anyone heard back from Plano?

Hello everyone,

I am graduating in December 2024 with my ADN. I intend to take the NCLEX in December or January, and I am beginning an RN-BSN program in January 2025.

My goal is to work at Children's Medical Center. I was not eligible for their February 2025 Nurse Residency cohort as I will not have obtained a BSN by that time. I saw that Children's has an ADN apprenticeship program, but I also cannot find very much information about it online. Currently, the Children's website for this program doesn't appear to have been updated since last year. Do any soon-to-be ADN RN grads plan to apply to the apprenticeship program? Hopefully we can get some more info soon and apply 🙂
