I've been browsing this forum for quite a while now and found it rather helpful >xD
I live in NYC, went to a foreign country, took up nursing and graduated with a BSN (idunno i guess it was cheaper and more hands on lolz)
I recently took the Nclex and passed
Thing is...I sorta forgot to take the child abuse and infection control workshops >_
I found websites pertaining to those workshops in NYSED and will probably start them tomorrow
heres my questions
1. after finishing the workshops, do I send NYBON my certificates?
2. will NY issue me a license even if I have not finished the workshops? or will I be required to finish the workshops before receiving my license?
3. How long does it take NY to furnish a license once everything is accomplished?
any help will be greatly appreciated >xD Danke!

I believe you can take those CE courses online for a cost. You should receive your license in the mail in about a wk or two. Oh you do not need those classes to get your RN license its just a wait. The child abuse is a one time course and infection ctrl is every 4 yrs. I wouldn't worry about those right away, worry about a job then get those courses.
i see....thanks for the tip >xD~~
