I love reading stories from the trenches - written by experienced RNs - sad, funny, silly, heartbreaking - but all reflections of life from the great RNs who have been there, done that.
There are numerous threads devoted to nursing humor, which I love reading, but I thought perhaps it might be nice to hear some war stories - specifically from OR RNs - reflecting on your career - stories that stand out for you as an OR RN?
Are there things that say to you - you know you are an OR nurse when....(fill in the blank...)
Are there stories of human kindness, where you, as an OR nurse, were able to connect with your patient in a way that helped them through the often overwhelming and frightening experience of undergoing surgery?
Funny or tear-inducing, just wanted to know your stories...
