I recently graduated with a Bachelor's in Science from UIUC and I have very proudly and eagerly made the decision to pursue nursing just this past month. I have decided to pursue a master's degree in nursing in Chicago and have accordingly narrowed down my options to Rush University's Generalist Entry Master's program and DePaul University's Master's Entry to Nursing Practice. My dilemma falls in understanding what either college has over the other. I approached DePaul first, and they sold me on the program. I then went to an information session at Rush and while it definitely made me eager to apply, I fear that it may only be because of the prestige that it has over DePaul. From what I have heard, Rush graduates are more sought after for jobs post graduation. Also, overall, Rush's nursing programs ranks higher than DePaul's. I will absolutely be sure to apply to both regardless; however, I hope someone may be able to give me some opinions or information as to what exactly one holds over the other and why so that if and when the time comes, I will be sure I made the right decision.
I also mentioned UIC in the subject, but I honestly have not done enough research on the school and am still a little confused on what they offer to non-nurses seeking master's programs. If anyone has any information on that program as well, I would absolutely appreciate hearing about it as well.
Thank you!!

All fine programs.
Which one is most affordable, best meets your schedule, best meets your goals, closest to home, etc.?
Only you can decide what's best for you.

Hello,
I share the same predicament!
What decision did you end up making, and was it the right one?
Thank you!
