Chemistry II and Micro together?

Published

I was wondering if I could get some opinions on my classes for next semester?

Right now I'm taking Chemistry I (intro to general, organic, and biochemistry) and Government.

Next semester I want to take Chemistry II and I was thinking about taking Micro with it. Both have labs, so that's all I would take. Does it sound do-able? Or is combining Chem II and Micro just way too much together?

Right now I'm pulling a strong B in Chem I, but I'm working my butt off for that A.

Thanks for your help!

I was thinking about doing the same thing next semester except I will be taking A&P II and micro bio. However, the micro bio in my school is without a lab. But if I finish both classes next semester, I'm done!!! :wink2:

I can imagine that having a bio and chem class along with two labs is not going to be a fun walk in the park. It will be tough but if you dedicate enough time to both you should be fine. Unfortunately, you may have to say goodbye to your social life for a couple of months :uhoh21: !!

I am so glad that I had taken Intro to Organic and Biochemistry prior to signing up for Microbiology/Pathology....a great part of the micro lab deals with biochemistry and I was one of the few to get an A in that class.

stpauligirl,

I noticed you are in San Antonio. I live in Floresville (south of SA) and am taking my pre-reqs at Palo Alto. Did you happen to take those classes at PAC?

Hey, nice to meet you. Intro to Chem and Intro to Organic and Biochem are two separate classes at our school, both are 4 credit hrs and have a lab. To get into the 2 year program we only need Intro to Chem but to get into a 4 year program I need both.

I am taking my classes at San Antonio College :wink2:
