You're going to need to check with the school in NYC that you plan on attending. Some programs only require a general chem class, but i've seen schools back east that required organic chem specifically. Check with your NYC school first, and if the Valencia class doesn't exactly match up, you'll probably have to send them a class description for the chem class at Valencia to see if they will accept it.
Hello,
I took Intro to General Chem. 1025C last semester with Prof. Polk online. It was not that bad I managed to get an A. I just started VCC's nursing program this summer and plan on going into UCF's BSN program when I am done. But I agree with the others check with the school in NYC to ensure you take the right Chem class.

hello everyone,
i am currently taking pre-requisites at valencia community college and i actually do not plan on attending the nursing program here but instead i plan on transferring to a school in nyc. i was wondering if anyone took a chemistry class at valencia and could tell me what chemistry course met their nursing requirements when they transferred (since vcc nursing program doesn't require you have a chemistry course since you cover a little in anatomy & physiology). i'm not sure if intro to general chemistry is all i need to take or general chemistry with qual analysis 1 is what i need. thanks so much in advance for any help.
