Chemeketa 2014

Just got my score. I got a 50/50 on the essay! I can't believe it. My total is 356. Does anyone else want to share their scores? Or anyone who is currently in the nursing program can you share your scores? Thanks!

Ah.... so it calls for a really flexible schedule. Okay, thank you! I'll just plan for all day sitters.

I noticed that only 11 credits are showing up on the registration. Is that true? I'm receiving VA benefits and they are strict in that to be a full-term student, you must take 12 or more credits a term or you won't receive full benefits.

There are other classes available to bump you to 12 credits. One is strategies for success. Another is supervised practice. Often people add a PE course or something in there. The credits vary per term, but there is always something to add into your schedule to get to full time status.

There is also a mentoring program, where you will be matched up with a 2nd year student to help you navigate the first year. :) That helps take some of the stress off, I think.

Thank you for posting this info. I had not realized my schedule would need to be so flexible.

I would like to suggest to all who are admitted, you will definitely want to take supervised practice regardless of if you need the credits or not. The other extra classes are all 1 credit courses, and even though they are nursing school specific, are very easy and I did not get much out of them.

Do any of the current student know when they are having the nursing sale this year?

At the essay they stated that they would be having a sale event for graduating students to sell items to the incoming nursing students.

Once you get accepted, you will have access to the Nursing forum on Blackboard. You will get announcements about things like uniforms and texts for sale through that. :)

Okay, everyone I have made the fb group. Please add me on fb (my link is on my allnurses profile) and PM your allnurses SN so I can add you to the group.
