Hello,
I'm currently an LVN working on my prerequisites for a BSN program but all the programs in California are either expensive (private school) or have a long waitlist (CC). I am thinking of going out of state to get my BSN and coming back to work in California.
My question is what schools fit the requirements for California BRN? If anyone here has gone out of state what schools did you guys attend and was able to get in-state tuition?

Not all hope is lost with CCs, my co worker applied to 7 lottery schools in Los Angeles and got accepted into 2 on her first application cycle. There are also others who do a point system based on your grades so no wait list. I think all public bsn programs are competitive to get into unfortunately. You will have to go private or get mostly A's on your prereqs or just apply to a bunch of lottery schools to have better chances. Private adn programs are also cheaper than bsn private programs. Sorry I'm no help I'm in the same boat as you applying to so many public adn schools right now hoping one accepts me.
