Hello! I was just wanting to see if there are any other people out there who applied for Chattanooga State's Nursing Transition program for Summer of 2015. When do you guys think we will find out if we got in due to them telling us through email now? And where is everyone from? How many "points" did you have when you applied?

I have applied. I am currently taking A&P II, then I will be finished in time for the summer. I currently have 88 points. Dobypu know how many people actually get in?

The nursing advisor told me we would hear something 2nd week in February.

Thank God it's soon! I turned all my stuff in back in October, so it feels like I've been waiting forever! And I'm not totally for sure, but they take like ~120 for the day regular program so I would assume maybe half or less. That's usually how it goes other places, but I can't find the numbers for them. It may be on my information sheet (if I can find it). I'm currently taking Nutrition... that's all I had left to take.

I found my sheet from last summer class... day- 13 accepted, night- 2 accepted, paramedic- 6 accepted. 10 standby (total).

So they only allow 21 to get in? That is just crazy! There is way more than that trying to get in!! There are at least 10 in my a&p class trying. How many points do u have?

Yeah it says day transition program had 63 apply with only 13 accepted. You would think they would take some more. I only have 81 points. I doubt I get in this time, but fingers are crossed. In the past they have taken all of their wait listed people and other times they have taken none of them.

That is awful. Another forum on here said that the lowest accepted on 2013 was 81!! So I'm sure there is a chance!! I really think they should accept more than that. You would think seeing we were already LPNs, that they would let more of us in!

Yeah that's what I think too. I've been an LPN for 3 years and a CNA before that for 2 years all on a Med/Surg floor and ER. I think I know what I'm doing. But, if I don't get in I will just apply somewhere else I suppose. I'm sure with your points you will get in!

I don't know. If they have only 21 slots it will hard. Is there another school with a bridge program?

Cleveland State, Columbia State, Cumberland University, MTSU... that's all I can think of off the top of my head, but they are harder to get into and have more requirements. It's all going to depend on who applies I guess.

Cleveland wouldn't be too far away from me. But I really don't want to leave Chatt state. It shouldnt have to be that hard!! I have been an LPN for 5 years!! They should just let u in the transition if you are already an LPN!
