Graduating BSN in Dec. A few questions--
1: New Grad Pay
2: Hospitals that have new grad benefits (sign on bonuses, loan repay ect.) if any hospitals are currently offering.
3: Shift diffs, weekend diffs, deffering benefits...
I tried searching but every thread had long stories in them that I got tired of wading through and I couldnt really find specifics....
Thanks in advance.

I don't know the particulars on new grad pay here in the scenic city (I've read 17.50, but I don't know for sure). If I was a new grad, I'd check with Erlanger, Memorial and Parkridge. Only the big three, not with any of their smaller, satellite hospitals. Talk with nurses who work at each facility. Ask about mandatory overtime. Ask the nurse recruiters about orientation/preceptorship and any potential sign-on bonuses...I haven't noted any being offered lately, though. Each unit/floor will have slightly different educational opportunities available to the nurses.
Wish I could be of more help. I've been out of school for 13 years now & haven't kept up with new grad info. When I started my nursing career, I was excited to earn 12.24/hour my first year! My, how times have changed!
