Thought it would be a good time to start a new thread for all of us that are applying to Chattahoochee Tech for fall 2013! I would love to see what you received on the TEAS and your GPA. I plan on taking the TEAS V in August and currently have a 4.0 in my sciences and a 3.8 overall (I think). Does anyone know how many people usually apply and how many get accepted?
A panel of 4 people. They didn't introduce themselves so not sure who they were for sure but I think it was the instructors. I asked about some students who haven't heard anything at all and they couldn't answer the question so that is why I presume they were instructors. This is part of the "iffy" for me. Why wouldn't they introduce themselves? No weakness question for me.
Kris, Thank you for sharing your interview experience with everyone. It is especially nice since interviews are new to CTC. I am sure you did a great job on your interview. Glad to hear that they stuck to personal questions rather than a typical job interview set of questions about customer service...etc.
Mine went fine - I'm not really worried or concerned with the fact that they didn't introduce themselves or things like that. I mean, these women are going to be there probably for the next few days talking to 100+ people in 15-minute intervals. It'd be a huge waste of time for them to constantly introduce themselves to each person. Plus, at the end they extended an opportunity for me to ask them any questions if I had any. I used that time to ask them who they were, how long they had been at CTC, if they were all RN's, and what their specialties were. I tried to make it more of a conversation than an interview.
Either way, they were very nice. The questions were direct, specific, and 100% related to nursing and the CTC program. Nine questions in total. I know some of you all are waiting on this thread for specific questions or a list of them to study for, but I honestly don't think that's entirely fair for those of us who were first at bat. Anyhow, just relax and be honest. It seemed like they were looking for genuine answers from a candidate who is dedicated, prepared, and geared for the rigors of being a nurse. I got the impression that they were looking for sincere answers, not just someone who will tell them what they want to hear.
Advice: show up early. I was called in about 5 mins early just because the girl before me went quickly and I was already waiting. Punctuality never hurts. And for those of you who have never been to the Austell campus, it's in the boonies.

There was about 7 questions which were are mostly about yourself. Nothing too crazy. I was nervous but relaxed toward the end. Just remember to take deep breaths!
