Chatham/Shadyside PSB Courses

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Hello all,

My name is Danyelle, I live in SWPA down by California University. I am 38 and planning on enrolling in nursing school. I would like to get into Shadyside, but CCAC is my second option, and possibly Westmoreland County Community College in Greene County. I am posting to see if anyone has taken the PSB courses at Chatham to prepare for the Shadyside PSB test? On the link for Chatham/Shadyside it says if you take this course and pass it, it will waive the pre-entrance criteria for the Math and Natural Sciences, for those of us that high school has been a while ago! I am thinking of taking the course to take the PSB @ Shadyside, and figure if I don't get in at that point that I have lost nothing since it will help give me a preface for the Algebra, Bio and Chem courses I will have to take @ CCAC. Any thoughts from others would be deeply appreciated. By the way I am already a CCAC student, but was taking the path to be a social worker, so I have credits in Social Science, Art, and Philosophy, and Medical Terminology with a 3.2 GPA after not being in HS for years and only having a GED! Accomplishing these courses gave me the gusto to head into nursing! Plus I work for Dialysis Center Inc. as a secretary, since August, and talking and working with the nurses there, really helped me realize I want to be a nurse! It is a wonderful atmosphere to work in!

Thanks.

Danyelle
