charting pen/marker

Hello! As i explained the other day i'm with a new company and have went from ALL electronic charting to ALL paper charting. We chart on scantron sheets (fill in the bubble) and currently we use a redisharp brand marker to fill in the bubbles, but most of us fill it in with pen during the visit and then go back and fill our bubbles in with the marker thus doing all charting twice. I was wondering 2 things first does anyone else use this kind of charting and if so what kind of pen do you use? If not do you have any suggestions for kinds of pens to use? Trying to make my work my streamlined.

thanks

B

We do not use scantron but that sounds interesting. We have forms that you have to write in sentences which is also very time consuming. I truly wish we were computerized.

Specializes in COS-C, Risk Management.

Try a black ink gel pen. They will generally scan the same as the markers.

Goodness . . . they are still selling that Scantron system? I wanted to poke my eyes out with that stupid pen by the end of the day!
