I was in your shoes a year ago.... All nursing schools require pre-reqs to considered for their programs. I was looking at Queen's University, they are starting a new accelerated program. But, you must have the pre-req's completed to be considered.
Alternative options: All nurses in nc start out on the same pay level, doesn't matter if you have a B.S., ASN or diploma degree. I had to really look at what worked better for me. My suggestion is to go to the NC board of nursing website, check out the education tab and look at the five year pass rates. This tells you how well a school is educating their students and if they are teaching them what they need to pass the state RN board exam.
Also, nursing programs that are connected with hospitals will help supplement the cost of school.
Good luck!!!

Anybody have any info on some of the Nursing schools in that area? My husband and I will be moving next summer and I want to start nursing school in Fall '09. Any info anyone may have would be very helpful (and if anyone knows about accelerated tracks anywhere? I already hold my B.S in psyc). Thanks!
