Charity School of Nursing Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi all! I am applying to CSN in Aug. for the Spring 2018 class. I just wanted to start a post to help answer questions and compare profile scores:) Does anyone know what the last application cut off was?

Who did she email?? Mrs Thornton?

Don't freak out:)) I think it was Mrs. Thornton. You don't include your profile score sheet, that is just for us to use as a reference. Only the items on the checklist were needed.

update: I did get in touch with ms. Thornton and she said they would write my Lola ID for me. I am still trying to figure out who to get in touch with for the delgado transcripts, although I did speak with the lady at the nursing front desk and she told me "not to worry about it because as long as the nursing department has my officials then thats all that matters" but I'd still like to get this squared away asap.

anyway, the countdown is officially ON, y'all! We have a good 6 weeks of waiting and anxiety! I hope we all get in!

I'm so nervous as well!!!!!!!! So anxious for letters already! If I calculated everything right I turned in mines with a score of 70! Hopefully that was accurate and enough for me to get in! I'm so ready to start!

Thank you:) I'm going drop it off tom morning. I'm soo nervous!

Yesssss gosh I hope these 6weeks fly by!! I applied also... what was your profile score if you don't mind me asking?

Hello everyone,

I am hoping to get accepted into CSN for Spring of 2018 as well. I'm super nervous just like everyone else! I turned in my packet on August 4. If I calculated everything correctly, my profile score stands at 75. My cumulative GPA is 3.9 and my CSN GPA is 4.0 so far. I scored an 85% on the HESI. I just started A&P 2 and Statistics on August 14 so that I can have them completed before starting nursing school (if I get accepted, fingers crossed, toes crossed, and anything else I can cross)!! ☺️

Ugh.. the anxiety is already kicking into high gear!! Wishing everyone the best of luck!! Hope we all get in!

Hi everyone, my name is Emily and I am applying for the Spring semester as well... I dropped off my packet with a score of 75 (I hope!). Has anyone here applied before? If so, did you get your letter in before the projected date? I am very anxious and am dreading the wait!!!

That's what I had also, hopefully I added everything up right. Im praying we all make it in this time! If not I will apply again in Jan ahh. I just don't want to wait another whole year to start. 65,70, & 75 are the profile scores I hear the most. Hopefully the cutoff is 65 again this year.

This waiting is killing me! LOL

I hope I calculated it correctly as well! this will be my 3rd nursing school application so I'm hoping it works out. I tried to stay local (I live in Lafayette) but ULL and SLCC didn't accept me! I'm just ready to start my career, someone LET ME IN! hahah

Let's pray those scores will be the same for this semester so that we all get in!! This wait will be the death of me LOL .. I so don't want to have to wait another 6 months to apply again.

If I calculated it correctly it should be around 90ish. I have all of the classes completed, have a bachelors degree, I ended up doing really well on the HESI (way better than what I did on the TEAS) and I haven't had a D or W in the last 5 years. I'm honestly just worried bc of the transcripts not being processed at Delgado yet! I sent them months ago. I called them yesterday and they said something about it being entered incorrectly but until they are on my Lola account I will be worried. Plus, I've met all of the requirements of a nursing program before, and unfortunately people with lower scores got in and I didn't.
