Charity School of Nursing Fall 2016

Published

Hello friends! I have submitted my application for Fall 2016, I have a total of 80 points (if I calculated correctly). I am very excited to start this new chapter in my life. I look forward to meeting others who have applied for this upcoming semester.

If I were her I would go up there Monday morning in person with her receipt that she had received when she turned in her paperwork and get some answers. It could be a post office issue but you never know.

Specializes in TSICU, MICU, SICU.

Hello guys, please i was wondering do we need a specific type or color of uniform? any idea of where we can have them?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that the uniforms for clinicals are white. And I have also been told you have the option to wear navy blue scrubs when not in clinicals. But this is all 2nd hand info! I'm sure we will find out everything we need this week! I'm excited!!

I am on to level II next fall... I had (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for clinical, and would highly recommend her. I think she has a predisposition that is approachable, and makes students (with level I jitters) feel very comfortable while learning new skills, and instills confidence in them to apply that knowledge to clinical situations.

Also, I would recommend taking Pharmacology I over the summer if they are offering it this year. There have been large budget cuts so it is possible it may not be an option, but in the event they do, take it! It is listed as a 1 credit class but there is a LOT of content. They expect you to remember a ton of drugs by generic name, and unless you have a degree in etymology it is hard to retain all the names of medications and their function, while also keeping up with your nursing lecture/clinical. While the amount of information you need to know is daunting, it is totally approachable, and you can definitely get an A if you keep on top of it. If your working/caring for children, summer classes would definitely help! I wish I had known!

Is anyone doing the CPR skills check off at Charity?

I did it Monday

I was the only one there during the time. If was easy. I had to do compressions on the adult & baby. Show how to use the AED & show how to do the Heimlich maneuver. She was really nice
