Just to keep everyone updated, the new changes go into effect September,
2005 for everything to be completed in one test, similar to the structure of the IELTS exam. You will no longer need to wait a few months to get scheduled for the exam and will be able to complete everything in one day. Not sure what the price is going to be................
but again, it won't be for another 15 months................ :balloons:

Thank for your detial, I may take IELTS better than TOEFL.
Is it a good idea to take IELTS better TOEFL?
You can do the exam all in one day and in one location. Not sure where you are located, but TSE is not offered in Thailand, the students have to fly to either Singapore or Hong Kong to take the exam, so when factoring in the other costs, it is about 4 x the price of taking the IELTS series in BKK.
Thank you, I live in Bangkok That I should take a IELTS exam better.
I better save my money for study. I won't go to Singapore or Hong Kong to take the exam. Why it such a big deal of TSE? Sometime I sick of it.
I am glad to hear you. Thank you again

TSE is the Test of Spoken English. I t is a requirement for nurses who wish to work in the US, if they are foreign-trained. There is an exemption for nurses form Australia, the UK, South Africa, Cananda, etc. All others are required to have the exam, even if you are from India or the Philippines.
That is what the big deal is, and before March, 2003, you had to have TSE, the IELTS series wasn't accepted for the Visa Screen..............
