I was placed into the Chandler Gilbert accelerated program starting in May. Would love to hear from any future classmates!

Has anyone decided about the e-books? I have only had 1 e-book in the past, but I didn't use it very much.

I'm thinking of doing the e-books and upgrading to hard copies if necessary. So, what is the info on the background check. Was that with the fingerprint card or seperate? For some reason, it isn't ringing a bell with me.

The background check is separate. I found this from my nursing application status page. The website is http://www.certifiedbackground.com and follow the students link. My paperwork has Chandler-Gilbert CC code as HN93bg, check your paperwork to make the code is the same. It cost $57.00 and emails results to the school and to you. Hope this helps you.

AZOhana, did they happen to say anything about using the e-books on an iPad or laptop in class? I understand that some of the community colleges encourage it, but others don't want the iPads or laptops in class. Thank you so much for the info on the background check! I didn't see the code on the application status page.

We can have both in class. I think they want you to get whatever works for you. The e-book package is $255 or with print $485. This package only covers 4 of the required books.

We also need to have a small smart device like a iPhone.

Also, we can record lectures, not sure about labs stuff. I got a small recorder that allows me to transfer the recordings to cd or iTunes.

Has anyone found a fb page for CGCC nursing? I saw other schools but not ours. Unless one hasn't been created.

I found some small closed groups....one for CGCC Nursing class of 2012, one for CGCC nursing block 2, etc. No bigger groups. I'm happy to start one..... In fact, I'll do it now.... If we find something later, I can just close it. "CGCC Nursing Accelerated 2013-2014"

Yes, I did... Try doing a search for CGCC nursing and it should come up with a few other small groups. Hope so!

Did you find out which clinical group you are in?

If the fb group is secret, I don't think public can search it. It will only shows in a search if it's closed, or maybe it takes time to show up. It could also be me not finding it :(

So sorry..it looks like its closed and can be searched, so I don't know what's wrong. I haven't called on my clinical location yet. Which one did you get? I have a lot to do when we get back from vacation...lol! Lots to figure out about books and supplies and getting the medical stuff turned in... My immunizations were quite out of date, so lots of shots to look forward to next week!
