I am finishing up my pre-requisite courses after switching majors to pre-nursing. I have a total of 39 credits in undergrad coursework. My GPA is 3.6 and I live in Illinois. I know I wouldn't be able to get into a school like UIC, so where should I focus my attention? I am also looking at Purdue University Northwest.
I am only interested in BSN programs.

It would be best to contact the schools directly. Just because they say minimum GPA is such & such doesn't mean you will get in with that score.
