Chances of getting in?

Hey I am a high school junior and wondering my chances of getting into the School of Nursing at University of Rhode Island and SUNY Binghamton. My stats are:

Out of state

1630 combined SAT (630 math, 560 reading, 480 writing)

Taking the ACT in june

97.35 weighted GPA

I've taken 8 honors classes so far and plan on taking 2 AP and 2 honors next year.

National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Peer Ambassadors

3 season varsity athlete

Work a part time job in the school year then work two part time jobs in the summer.

I am also on the town's rescue squad which counts as volunteer hours and I will be an EMT in December of my senior year.

Anyone know if I am likely to get into rither schools?

You sound like a good candidate to me, but I'm basing that off of my knowledge of my nursing school's acceptance criteria. Honestly, you should just call the schools you want to go to, tell them your situation, and ask if you're competitive. Since you also have another year of school left, ask them what more you could be doing to make yourself an attractive candidate.

Since I live in NY (and went to a SUNY school... not Binghamton, though), what is it about SUNY Binghamton you like??

As a prospective nursing student, I like SUNY Binghamton because it is a direct entry school. The only other SUNY that is direct entry is Plattsburgh and my parents think that's too far away (contrary to what I believe). Thanks for the input!
