Chances of getting into Jefferson

Published

Hi Everybody,

I am insecure about my chances of getting into Jefferson Prelicensure BSN nursing program. I'm sure everybody is nervous. But I have the reasons to be nervous because I don't have a 3.5 gpa and up like most of my friends. Yet, they are having anxieties, really??? I currently have a 3.19 GPA. I know it is very low :crying2: I have three C's that brought down my GPA. One C+ in Law, I don't know why I took law. A huge mistake of taking that class. Another C in General Biology II and Developmental Psychology. However I have a B+ in both Anatomy I and II. An A+ in College Alegbra, a B+ in Chem I and an A- in Chem I lab. I also have a B- in Micro. It was pretty hard for me to get a high grade in Micro cause I took Anatomy II at the same time. I basically focused more on Anatomy II. I really tried my best to make ends meet. I still have to take Chem II and Chem II lab, which is my last prerequisite that I have to take. As for my other classes, I have mostly B+'s, a couple A-'s and A's, plus three B's. I really don't know if I should apply right now for the second review period in January or wait a year to take classes over. Or do something else to get a Bachelors degree and do an accelerated program for nursing. All I know is that I want to be a nurse. I can't see myself doing anything else. I'm juggling work to provide for my family and school. I do not even go out to hang with my friends because I am so busy and tired. Is anyone in the same situation as me? or Is able to tell me what you would do based on your experiences? PLEASE HELP...I'm a Junior in college that is going crazy!!!:banghead:
