Hi everyone,

I recently was deemed academically eligible to start in the Spring 2019 semester (advisor said technically, I haven't been officially "accepted" since I still have to take my drug test + background check). I haven't seen too many posts for the Las Vegas campus - any possibilities that anyone will be attending Chamberlain in January as well? I've heard it's been a bit competitive for this campus.

Also, my admissions process has been all over the place, but I wanted to see if the experience was the same for anyone else, or of it was just my admissions advisor?

Congrats, that is very exciting! Where about are you coming from in Northern California if I may ask? I know the advisor I had from Las Vegas said that this week was the last week they were choosing candidates for January start date, so I am sure after this week things will speed up since they will have everyone chosen and will need to get the ball rolling.

That isn't far from me at all. Our family cabin is in Mineral Ca, outside Lassen National Forest, we pass through several times a year. :) The advisor I am working with comes back from the holiday vacation/weekend tomorrow, so maybe we all will get more information. :) I won't be with you guys for January, but hoping May, right behind you guys. Will you be transferring any pre-req's?

aww yeah you would go right through little Red Bluff. Yes so far I believe all my pre reqs are transferring! May isn't too far away! I hope you get in. I'm so excited for my move to Vegas. Is your advisor Gregory by chance?

That is great! It isn't too far and gives me time to plan accordingly. Did you rent a place of your own? I go in February to scope it out, I have never been to Las Vegas. I am probably the only 30 year old who has never been. Working on these nursing pre-req's ha! Yes, he is! I wonder if he is the advisor for all us California folks! I keep forgetting to ask if you ladies/possible gentlemen at some point have an Instagram to connect? If so mine is ( nesss.uhh ). I have connected on there with current students at the campus.

Hi! im also starting at Chamberlains Las Vegas campus on January 7th. I was told new student orientation is on December 14th! I am kinda confused by this process too. I'm moving out from northern California and am still waiting to solidify my "acceptance". Hoping everything works out since ive already locked in housing. So far all they have had me do is my FAFSA and sign a few papers. Im hoping now that thanksgiving has passed they speed things up a bit. Its making me nervous! I had to reword my question a few times but finally got them to commit to saying there was a spot waiting for me when I pass my drug test and background check. Hope to meet you are orientation!!

Hello! Yay! Did you have your pre-enrollment meeting yet? Do you happen to know which classes are you starting off with??

I feel like we're on the same boat! I'm not sure if it's my advisor, but I feel like I have to keep asking questions rather than him telling me everything I need to know. I've emailed him a few times and it takes a while for him to respond. After he sent me papers to sign, I emailed him, and didn't get a response. He would usually call me at the end of the day (4:30-4:45pm) and if I missed his call, I wouldn't get an answer since he was already out of his office 15 minutes later. I had to call the admissions office to get an understanding of what my admission status was.. I was so confused. :(

I did ask him when orientation was, and he responded this morning. Unfortunately, I am in a wedding that weekend in the Bay area and won't be in town for orientation. I'm hoping they are able to accommodate with another option??

My academic counselor called today, once the committee meets back up again after the holidays, I will know if I was academically accepted. So the first week you guys are starting I should or hopefully know. :)

Yes! I grew up in LA & went to college in the Bay area. I have my pre enrollment meeting tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. I do have an instagram account, but it's been over a year since I deleted it off my phone because I rarely use it! :( I'll download it again.. eventually! Hahah

How did your pre enrollment call go?! Did they tell you what classes you're taking in the first session? :)
