Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta, GA

Published

Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

Hi Always Hopeful!

Yes, I would to form a study group! I will be taking health and wellness and patho in may.

sorry wrong spot

Patho shouldn't be so bad because Chamberlain breaks it up into two classes. I had to finish is one semester. I'll probably have Health and Wellness too. You have five credits. Its that what you wanted to do or this is what the advisor recommended. I know nursing classes are quite different.

Another student who would like to form a group lives in Gwinnett, however, I'm in Stone Mountain/ Decatur area.

congrats on starting in may! I'm also taking patho with logic and critical thinking and transition into nursing. I'm gong to registration workshop this friday. met with them today and my financial aid is good up until next summer where I'll probably have to figure out private loans :/ but hey as long as we get a good education, graduate, pass the nclex and get to working!

Hi y'all! I will be starting at Chamberlain May 5th! I will be taking intro to nursing, health and wellness and logic & critical thinking. Is anyone enrolled in those classes?

Hi Kmbaker!

Congrads! I started this Jan and I will be taking health and wellness and patho but I am taking mines online.

Congrats on getting in!!! I'm taking transitions in nursing NR-101, Patho 1, and logic and critical thinking. Hoping to get wed & thurs classes. probably going to take logic and crit online. Going to registration workshop tomorrow :)

have you heard anything about patho difficulty? Is it recommended to be taken online? I'm trying to decide which classes will be best online. I feel like path is a very important nursing class and I don't wanna miss out on anything in lecture, but from previous experience, sometimes online classes are easier.

Congrats to everyone on your acceptance. I just finished Funds2 NR226 and Health Assessment2 304. Enjoy the ride!!

Specializes in correction.

nurse2b7337 congrats on completing those course. I will be taking fund, health assessment 1 with history instead of patho... all the only classes for patho are full. very nervous about these classes. any helpful advice with studying and checkoff. thanks in advance

HELLO my fellow student colleagues!!!! Welcome to those of you that are joining or just starting into your second session at Chamberlain. I just completed Med Surd II, and will begin Mother-Baby/Maternal Health this spring. I took Patho I at campus and Patho II online. I am glad that I did it that way bc you get some foundation vs learning everything pretty much on your own. I did the same strategy for fundamentals. I would NEVER advise taking both I&II online (although I did that with Pharm : ). You need that in class teaching/lecture bc it comes back through and through. For check offs utilize you tube, your open labs, and do skits with family members or friends. For Patho, Fundamentals, and Pharm (ESP Adult health & specialties) Look for study guide books online. Review and rationale books will be your BFF'S! THERE ARE WAYS AROUND READING 12 CHAPTERS PER EXAM! Learn how you study and what works for YOU bc everything and everyone will tell you "their" success story-but we all are different learners. As for those of you who plan to take majority of your courses online, PLEASE get into some study groups. For the next few years these faces in class will be your family-and sometimes they will be who push you through! Enjoy your break and best of luck on your upcoming classes. I am NEVER on here so if you have any more questions/concerns and on facebook look me up-Mimi Pierce. All the best! :)
