Challenging the LVN Boards (CA)

Hello anyone,

I currently reside in San Diego, CA. I am a CNA at the moment and have been working as a CNA for the pass 7 years in a acute care facility (hospital). I have med/surg, maternity, peds., and tele experience under my belt and currently taking a online pharmacology class to fulfill the last requirement to challenge to LVN boards! So...my question is

Has anyone in my position with similar experience challenged the LVN boards successfully? I want to know how long it took from the day you sent out your application to the day the boards sent you the letter for the approval to test. And also was it hard finding a job or getting in a RN step up program.

It doesn't hurt to give them all of it, to cover your bases, but you will have to make a copy of the form and have the other job fill it out too.

Hi I just Talked to hr on my other job I told them that I floated other departments like Dou Telemetry med surg and e. I told them to include it in my verification but they said that they can’t verify departments that the employee floated to. What should I do??

Hi again. I’m having a problem computing the hours on the part 4 of the application. My employer total the hours that I worked there.

How do I calculate the hours for the knowledge and skills? Like vital signs bed making and catheter. Please help thank you .

I know it’s years later but I am having trouble with this form also . Do you happen to have an example?
