Dec 28, 20205 yr Experts As an artist, the one thing that is my constant pursuit is inspiration. Appreciation, adoration, adulation, and monetary compensation are nice, but they don't feed the monkey. Sooooooooo I'm posing a challenge to my virtual friends, @NurseBlaq @TriciaJ @Daisy4RN, @caliotter3 @sirI @Hoosier_RN @nursel56 @NRSKarenRN and good ole @GrumpyRN and I've put off doing this for quite some time, and that is to challenge me to make art with something that you may believe I cannot. After I read this quote by Andre Breton back in '03, I needed to prove to myself that I wasn't an idiot.

Sadly, when I purged some of my files, it was one I deleted. I did a search here on allnurses in an attempt to find the image, and could go back only as far as 2019 with no luck, so you'll have to take my word for it, Daisy. The "Flying Fruit Basket" phrase is not mine. An allnurses member said it years ago, and I adopted it into my vocabulary.

You know, nursel, I don't believe I ever did that one, and I found the loose association interesting, in fact, it's my stock in trade. Whenever I come up with something I consider unique or clever, I'll Google it. And, many times, someone's gotten there before me. HOWEVER: In this case, I could find no such thing as Ma & Pa Kettle Potato Chips! You, my dear, have just discovered a New World so I fashioned a vessel to get us there:

It was fun making it out of a used tin foil baking sheet Belinda was going to throw away, some regular and baked clay, and paint! I got up at 0430 this morning to make it after sleeping eight hours. I thought today was New Year's Eve! Belinda's schedule was changed due to the Holiday, so I was disoriented. So- Happy New Year!

Years ago, I believed if I didn't have a total idea, or the idea was dumb, I shouldn't do anything. I've learned to just do a quick sketch and see where it takes me. Something more always comes into my head. For example, I was going to paint an Air Force logo on the wings, but the Funny Little Guy in My Head whispered, " Not Air Force- Air Fruit!" Thank you so much for being my muse, Daisy!

I was looking through some of my old journals when I stumbled upon this sketch: I drew this on February 17, 2001. Now- check this out: Dan Piraro published this comic on September 6, 2012! Same theme: "Disney On Ice"! Sometimes we're Columbus and sometimes we're the Vikings!
Feb 11, 20215 yr Author Experts Okay, I'm giving myself a challenge. I want to see if I can post an image within a narrative and have continuity of the narrative by the line spacing remaining unchanged. First, let's see how much space a typical emoji takes up:?. ?I've downloaded emojis before, but don't remember how I did it, so I just guessed at the size of being 30 px Lessee... here's my avatar at 30 px: That's a little small and it doesn't fit on the line. I wonder why? Let's try 40px: Ah, I see. This program automatically centers the image. Okay then, let's try this: Again, centered. I wonder if I could do this:Not bad- we're getting there, but It's time to close down shop. We'll try again tomorrow.
