Can you get more of a hint than that? We don't know the instructor, the course, or the school, so no one can tell you what to expect. I know the A&P exam for Excelsior is known to be a bear. One thing I like about taking courses instead of exams like this, is that the final exam is usually not comprehensive, thus making it easier to swallow whole.
Unless you really know your A&P, I would not challenge it. You really use your A&P a lot in nursing, so I would opt to just take the class. If you are confident enough to challenge it, then you should breeze the class... but me personally, I would just take the class. Sometimes, it's cheaper or the same cost to take the class rather than testing out of it. At least, that was the experience I had where I attended.
It's free to challenge and the class is 1000$. I'm going to get the book and study before I challenge and I'm only going to challenge A&P 1 which was already covered in my LPN program. I'll take A&P 2 in class, if I pass the challenge. I'm pretty confident, but have nothing to lose so why not? :)

I am preparing to challenge A&P 1 at a local community college. They gave me a "study guide" but all it really is, is a table of contents for the textbook. The text has a new edition in 2009 and the previous edition was 2003. The 2003 one is available on ebay for about 20 bucks. Can A&P possibly change all that much or do you think I could study from the 2003 edition? And what about the lab manuals? Need or don't need?
