CGFNS question for practice in Pennsylvania...India BSC

I completed my B.Sc. in Nursing in Punjab India and have been practicing as a OT nurse for the past 2 years. I just finished my TOEFL and received a 93 total with a speaking of 27. This meets the requirement for CGFNS.

I have moved to Pennsylvania USA now and have a greencard / SSN. Pennsylvania state requires a Certificate from CGFNS. I have begun the process of completing the CP from the CGFNS, but am running into hurdles. One of the requirement is license in the home country. In Punjab, there is no examinations such as the NCLEX. Upon completing my major, I had to register with the Punjab Nurses Registration Council. I was given a certificate and assigned a Nurse number and designated a registered nurse. The form asks for an expiration date. But the certificate does not expire once attained.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Any nurse from India who completed the CGFNS process want to chime in?

Just want to update everyone. The CGFNS is aware that in certain countries the certificate does not expire once you attain it. Therefore, they recommend I do not enter an expiration date when I fill out the form. Hopefully this information will help others in my positions.

Hey, Sorry for the late reply, you could just mention life time validity as well. I recently did my CES for Texas license and it was successful that way.

I am eager to know what visa did you come in through, coz a per my understanding there are no more job visas open to international nurses to US. I am glad people are still making it. Can you share the process that you underwent to start working in US? Thank you in advance.

M applying for the New York State nursing so I have to get credentials verified by cgfns. But apart from just getting my credentials verified, do I also need a toefl exam taken with good results?

cvs is the process where cgfns are the ones to get all relevant documents. The BON should say if English exams are required
