I am really confused here. This is a newbie question, I suppose:) Please bear with me. Anyway, I am a foreign nurse and I have passed the NCLEX-RN exam along with the IELTS. My question is, do I need to take the CGFNS exam. If so, how do I apply for it. I went to their website earlier but I am really confused. They said that I only need to take one exam either CGFNS or NCLEX-RN. I am really lost here. By the way, I am aiming for California because most of my relatives live there. And, do I proceed for a visascreen, with NCLEX-RN and IELTS combo?

VSC is a requirement if you are requiring a work or immigrant visa. CGFNS exam is only required by a small handful of states and CA is not one of them. Only do the exam if you have to
