Hi all! I am working on my apps for CRNA programs and I am having trouble with my resume. For those of you who have applied, what did you include? Here is my problem: I was always taught that a resume should be one page only. By the time I include my education, work experience, and professional organizations/certifications, I am out of room. So I was just wondering if any of you also included CE's, personal interests, etc... or did you stick to the basics. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think you have to worry about a sticking to a one page resume. My resume is 4 pages long. If you have alot of experience or certs or publications then you will need to show it. I only applied to two schools but it did the trick. I think the "usual format" should cover you. Work experience, education, certifications, professional organizations, publications and or lectures given. I didn't include CE's or personal interest. You will want to highlight you strong points. Hope this helps

my resume was a basic work resume with others certs, short and sweet, then there was a personal statement which had to be 600-800 words on why i felt i would be a good candidate for school, i put everything in there including college experiences and organizations, work experience, what kind of patients you take, leadership skills, etc.

Thank you for the replies! Jbro, that is what I was thinking of doing...the one page resume and then elaborate on my experience in the goal statement. Glad to hear it worked for you.

I had the same questions, so I made the first page of my cv all the essentials of the one page resume: education, certs, licenses, job experience, and references. If the app called for a one page, I just threw in the first page. If it did not specify, then I added the other pages which included the other info.

my resume was more than one page as well, i wouln't worry about it, definatly put the stand out info on the first page to keep them reading

one page, double sided works quite well. It has the illusion of being on one page but contains twice as much info.
