so how is malpractice insurance handled. I was just thinking that a substantional chunk could come out of my salary. I am under the impression that the employer usually pays. Is that true?

Yep. I don't think I'd work for a group that did not include malpractice coverage in my benefits. It's too expensive to buy for one person. Groups get group rate discounts.

I don't know anythig about insurance but I love your SRNA site. I will be watching it closely. esecially if I don't get in this year.
recently I have been feeling quite discouraged. I want to apply to several schools to ensure my entrance next fall. I still need to take the GRE(wich is an obstacle unto itself) a stats class and organic chem in the fall. wheeeww that sounds like a lot still doesn't it. I keep telling my self its not that bad.
anyway. I would sell my first born to be where you are right now so I hope you relish every day.
