In State Certification

Specialties CRNA

Question: If I take my certification exam in CA, do I have to take another exam if I move to another state? I ask because I don't know where I will be practicing just yet, either CA, NY or FL. Should I take the exam in the state I plan to practice in, is the exam harder in 1 state versus the other?

I honestly do not know, but since nobody here will answer you i will say

How Does a Nurse become a CRNA?

A nurse attends an accredited nurse anesthesia education program to receive an extensive education in anesthesia. Upon graduation, the nurse must pass a national certification exam to become a CRNA.

I think the word NATIONAL means nation wide certification, but im guessing u will have to pay a fee for the liscence switch.

You only have to take it once. It does not matter what state you take it in. The difficulty does not change per state. All that matters is that you have a nursing license and/or advanced practictioner nursing licence in whatever state you want to work in.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
