Gre/gpa?

Specialties CRNA

I kinda already asked Kevin this privately. Has anyone here went or heard of Middle TN School of Anesthesia? I spoke with a rep there today. This school is very small and takes less than 40 applicants a year. Anyways, How important are GPAs? I have a current GPA of 3.2 and will most likely drop to a 3.1 b/c I got a C in an 8 hour nursing course. I had a BS in biology and my GPA was about a 3.4 before starting nursing school. I never recieved one C in all 4 years. However, in nursing school b/c the scale is so much higher, I'm getting Bs and Cs. So, my GPA will drop to about a 3.1 or lower now. I'm just worried that a C in nursing will really look bad on my transcript to CRNA??? Anyone know?? Thanks!!

Yes i've hear of MTSU anesthesia school, I believe I saw on their website that you must obtain an Ohio Liscense for the school or something. Have you looked at UT-Memphis, and chattanooga? Are you in TN? If not UT-memphis is pricey about 20K a year I think, double the instate. If I remember correctly UT Memphis only takes 12 students a year. I know the dean of the school and I think that's what he said

Can you pass my name along to the dean? I need an inside connection. hehe :) :) ;)

LoL, :) He told me not to worry about getting in when the time came *if he was still the dean, and hopefully he still is. He just told me to make sure I keep my grades up to par and I'd be fine.

There also UT Knox. I think they have anesthesia school too. One of the positives of UT chatt. is that there is no anesthesia resident program there.
