I was reviewing my pharm book today, the one by Stoelting, Earlier I said we learned that the ED95 for volitile agents was 1.6 MAC. My notes reflected that but Stoelting and Barash claimed 1.3 as the MAC required to prevent 95% of patients moving in resonse to surgical incision. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

That makes more sense mathematically, which is how i arrived at my answer, as I wasn't able to find a reference, I buy my pharm books next semester.

As I was reading this I wondered if you guys used cusicks anesthesia sheet. (see link) We have the colored version of these laminated, they are a great reference to put on your clipboard and relatively cheap.

This is the website where you can order them, shows a small version of the way they look in color.

Kaiser School of Anesthesia; class of 2004; we're using this sheet to have as a safety net. We start clinicals on Thursday. Mostly we have memorized all of the doses and mg/ml but its nice to have to dbl check.
