CRNA Job Prospects in Colorado after graduation

Specialties CRNA

Published

I am not about to graduate yet, but planning for the future. Just wondering if there are any CRNA's presently employed in CO and know anything about places to live, where the best pay rates are, etc. I have always wanted to live in an "outdoorsie" place like CO but don't know anyone to ask about work. How are the state politics with MDA's and CRNA's?

I love the outdoors, hiking, biking, canoeing, camping,, etc. Looking forward to learning how to ski. I would like info on some places to live where it's not too crowded but not farther than an hour to drive to work.

If anyone responds tell me if i need to be more specific about my request.

Thanks for any responses.

I've checked out gasswork.com and gasjobs.com....just wanting some personal experience. thanks to all

Before leaving to TX for CRNA school, I worked CVICU in Denver for 5 years and from what I observed the Denver market for CRNA's isnt the greatest. MDA's have a pretty tight grip on the city. The CRNA's that are employed are relegated to OB and minors. Im not sure about the other areas of Colorado but Im sure the opportunities are better the further out you are from the big cities. MDAs are making 250-300K there so I would think that CRNAs are at best making 120-140K in the Denver area.
