Hello everyone!
I'll be taking a CNA class starting on June 9th, which is a 4 week course. I plan on looking for a job as a CNA as soon as I get my certification, but my problem is that I have already made plans on going for a 3-week vacation in my home country in December. If I estimated correctly, I'll be taking the board examination either late in July or early August, then apply for a job as soon as I can.
I haven't purchased any tickets yet but I'm planning to sometime this month, but I am not sure if it is alright for me to go on a 3-week vacation during my first year working. I am also not sure if I should bring it up before or after I get the job. Help please?
Thank you!

I have interviewed many potential employees in my career and you need to be honest up front with any potential employer -- YES YES YES let them know of your intentions during the interview and see if something can be worked out otherwise you will be subject to their normal time off request process and will probably be instantly denied the time off -- then what would you do if you've already spent money purchasing the tickets.
I would warn you that it's going to make it insanely tough to find a job when they know that you are going to be wanting a 3 week leave of absence within 3 - 4 months of hire... but may not be impossible.

A lot of times you can go PRN for a while. I used to work in dietetics at a hospital and our employees were high school students. The company would make them PRN for the summer, which kept them on the pay roll until they came back.
I would be very up front during the interview. You also should ask HR about PTO days.
