Hi all. I'm going to be starting the LPN-RN program at Century College in MN this May. I'm REALLY stoked. There's so much I want to do when I get my RN- so many places I want to go with it, including going back for my BSN eventually.

I'm just wondering if anyone out there is familiar with this program, has been there, done that? I should also add that I have a 3 month old, who will be 9 months old when the program starts. I don't look forward to not seeing him so much, but I know in the end it'll be worth it for both he and I and my hubby too. I've been an LPN since 2006, have worked at the same clinic since. Most of my experience lies in peds. But I've had my fair share of internal medicine too. I'll have to go to work at an urgent care place once I start school though. But I think it'll be a good change- I'm tired of Well Child visits, and the inevitable shots that follow. Not that UC won't entail some sort of unpleasantries to be had- throat cultures, cathing babies...

Well, anyway, just wondered what I'm in for. I have the Fundementals book they are using, got it used have been reading here and there when I can, also boning up on my dosage math- BIG TIME. (We don't do much calculations in the clinic, it's all charted out for us, the most I've had to do is figure out how many ml are in x dropperfuls).
