Center for Allied health and nursing in NJ

Hello everybody! Is anyone going to be in the January 2011 class for 'CAN' in NJ? I live in Brooklyn and will be driving to school...I am extremely nervous about the commute, can anyone tell me more or less how long it takes to get to Brooklyn if we leave school at 4pm? I am super excited just really scared...I've wanted to be a nurse for so long and have struggled to work my way into a program and now i'm so nervous ...

oh man! I'm so nervous, I just want to hear someone say that it's really gonna be ok and mean it!

Its Gonna be okay babe! i Mean it. Didnt u tell Ilona that u are a CNA? I am CNA. and i have an LPN book . IT AINT THAT HARD AS THEY MAKE IT SEEM. First trimester everything is the same as for CNA cuz Nicole said that after first trimester u can get a CNA certificate. So Anatomy is just basics. i dont remember much tho but well catch up hun. Dont be Scared . We gota stick together and well make it :hug:

That's the way i've been trying to think about it because i've done it all before , from pct to cna to home health and of course a&p1 &2 in kcc, I know we will be okay,,, We better be..lol..How are you girls going to get there on the 19th? thank you:rckn:

Im not sure yet how we getting there. Maybe by bus or Ilonas bf will drive us .What about u? yeah i did CNA ,HHA lol and CNA is the same thing as LPN but Lpn does a bit more thats all. I actually starting feel the excitement again :yeah: I was looking forward to become a nurse for a while .I tried adult learning center .. failed the stupid test. U gotta be one of the best there so it made me feel down . But then Ilona did some research and found this school :redbeathe Its so nice that they have a website like this one. We never even met but i feel like i already know u for a while lol

Nicole said that 19th they are going to give out books, uniforms lol and some other stuff. i wonder whats the other stuff? u think they will give us stethoscopes? That would be nice . :confused:

When you guys have driven there which route do you take? Let me know if you girls need a ride... I think they do give out stethoscopes...I 'm debating on getting another uniform from there or if I should get it from another store cause I totally need a pretty uniform..:D...

we went trough washington bridge last time. Babe they said u cant use any other uniform but theirs. they have a specific one. Ilona wanted to get a diferent one but Nicole said she cant use diferent one. only theirs =(

Well that really sucks, i'm glad that you girls asked her all those questions? now i have one for you...do you know what they do during the snow storms? how will we know if they remain open... you know Jersey always gets hit hard..and about that uniform thing I could swear that I saw people in belt bottom pants and crossover tops. I guess we will just have to wait and see? by the way what kind of shoes are you going to get?

ok lets hope we don't forget to ask... They are charging $ 35 for the extra uniform and I highly doubt that the material will be worth that price but we will see!

i dont care about material that much lol i just wonna finish this school and become a nurse ASAP everything else dont matter lol

Now I'm gonna tell you like you told me , we are going to do and at least we found each other to keep one another grounded, I sent you an email on where I live, so let me know if you guys are close to me...by the way i think you are..lol:yeah:

hi girls congrats on getting in! i was hoping that u guys can give me sume advice i took the exam last year but passed the english part but the math i failed i hate word problems and converting grams to pounds etc any advice??
