Celebratory Rituals for acceptance to Clinical Program, Graduating, or passing NCLEX

Published

Hi!

I read a post in which a student mentioned he/she planned to get a Nurse-theme tattoo to celebrate Nursing school graduation. I am wondering what types of celebratory rituals you may have had or have planned in celebration of achieving various stages of your Nursing education/career.

For instance, I am a pre-clinical student with acrylic overlay on my fingernails. The day I get my acceptance letter into the Clinical portion of my program I am marching myself straight to the nail salon to have my acrylic overlay soaked off so I am ready to work with patients!

I also think about graduation and passing the NCLEX (definitely tattoo worthy moment)...right now, passing Microbiology is my goal! LOL

What are your celebratory acts!??:yeah:

I don't know if this counts....but to celebrate surviving our first year of NS, most of my class met an hour after out last final and spend the day white water rafting, then BBQ'ing and topped off the evening with a large campfire/small bonfire. It was great to just hang out and enjoy each other.

I've heard of several students having Bonfires on graduation day and burning their scrubs! I guess it's a stress reliever or something!
