Dear colleague,

The School of Nursing at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon will be celebrating its centennial in 2005. This is a significant milestone in the history of nursing education at AUB, in the Middle East, and internationally. To mark this special occasion, a number of activities have been planned throughout the whole year culminating in an international scientific conference June 30 July 2, 2005 with the theme

100 years of Nursing Education at AUB; Pioneering Achievements and Global Vision.

The conference will address state of the art issues of direct relevance to nursing education, research, and practice. Topics include among others collaborative practice, innovative approaches to advanced nursing practice, research utilization, and human resource allocation in nursing.

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to join us at this special historical event. Further information on the conference can be found on the School of Nursing website

http://www.aub.edu.lb/~webson/ and on the

conference website http://www.infomedweb.com/ourevents/nursing2005.htm
